Our three underage teams were in action over the weekend, with one win, one draw and one defeat. More details below:

Underage Update
U15 League Cork City 0-0 Waterford FC
Another very good performance from the U15s. A first half missed penalty would have given us a good start after a very good performance but we couldn’t find the winner in the second half. We created plenty of chances and had the better of the second half but we just couldn’t find a winner. Next week is the final league game at home to Limerick. A draw or a win would qualify the 15s for the quarter final.

U17 League Quarter Final Waterford 1-1 Dundalk
(Waterford win 4-3 on Penos)
A fantastic knockout game in the RSC. The blues fell behind on 18 mins and really had to work hard to get back into the game. It wasn’t until the 52nd minute when we equalised through skipper Jack Larkin. The lads really pushed hard but could not get the winner. Extra time was also stalemate so it was onto the penalties.
Colm Whelan scored first. Dundalk Scored
Kallum Broaders missed. Dundalk Scored
Mike Nzongong scored. Dundalk Scored
Adam Conway scored. Dundalk missed
Jack Larkin scored. Dundalk missed through a fantastic saved from Charlie Heffernan. The Blues march on to the league semi final.

U19 Shield Quarter Final
Waterford FC 1-3 Shamrock Rovers
An excellent game to watch in the quarter final of the shield today. We took the lead from a Darryl Walsh header after a Justin Croke corner, but Rovers soon equalised. Second half again we played very well but couldn’t take the lead and in the final ten minutes Rovers came on strong and pulled away. It was the final U19 game of the season. Many thanks to all the players and staff David Breen, Paul Cashin, Billy Hearne, and Conor Coad.
