Waterford FC was delighted to receive a donation of €1,280 raised by life-long Blues fan Darryl Foley. Through his online efforts, Darryl was able to raise the vital funds which were awarded to the academy.

All four academy teams (U13, U15, U17, U19) received a cheque for €320 each which was presented to the teams prior to training at the WIT Arena on Monday the 6th of July. These funds will give a much-added boost to the financing of the academy and everyone at the club would like to thank Darryl and all those that continue to raise vital funds on behalf of the club.

Speaking to WaterfordFC.ie, operations manager Tony Burke commented “It’s the tireless effort from fans like Darryl that keep clubs going. I would like to thank Darryl for his efforts, it’s important he knows, we’re all extremely grateful for his contribution. I would also like to mention Alan Forristal who is also fundraising on behalf of the club and has done so brilliantly over the last few months”.
