Due to the City and county being elevated up to level 3, unfortunately, Waterford FC’s remaining fixtures will now have to be played behind closed doors with no fans in attendance.
This is heartbreaking news as everyone in Waterford has been working hard and following public health guidelines. Recently, in national media, the RSC was used as an example of how we could live with Covid-19 once handled in a safe and professional manner. Waterford FC fans, staff, volunteers, Covid-19 safety team led by Mark Dunne, I’d like to take this moment to thank you all keeping everyone safe and showing why Waterford is a leader in the fight of this horrific virus.
Our thoughts are with all businesses that will have to close and those that had worked so hard to get back up and running. We look forward to welcoming you all back soon.
