Waterford FC have signed a three-year facility partnership agreement with the WIT Arena, which ensures Waterford FC first team and Academy will utilise the state-of-the-art facilities at the WIT Arena. These will include access to all-weather pitches, grass pitches and high-performance gym and video analysis rooms. The first team is currently back training in preparation for the start of the Airtricity League Season with the Academy’s returning in line with government directive.
Speaking at the partnership announcement Martin Dunphy, Waterford FC outlined ‘we are delighted to announce this partnership with the WIT Arena and we thank them for their continued support. The facilities here at the WIT Arena are world-class and we are very lucky here in Waterford to have both the WIT Arena and the RSC at our disposal. This partnership further enhances the opportunities and support network for both our academy and first-team players.’
Facilities and Events Manager at the WIT Arena, Donna Drohan outlined ‘it is fantastic for us here at the WIT Arena to welcome Waterford FC as an official facility partner. It is a great addition to our partnership portfolio, which includes Waterford GAA and a number of National Governing Bodies. WIT Arena continues to grow and develop as we look forward to this new and exciting partnership.
