Waterford FC’s Under 15 team kick off their season against Cobh Ramblers in the WIT Arena this Sunday before facing Cork City, Treaty United, and Limerick in the first phase of their campaign. The captain of the side for the coming season is Adam Queally.

Waterford FC U15 Squad:

Jason Healy, Shayne McDonald, Adam Queally, Callum Geoghegan, Sean Keane, Callum Costello, Mikey Carroll, Romeo Akachukwu, Artem Izhko, David Leavey, Adam Coyne, Tyler Nolan, Eoin Hogan, Conor Tobin, Daniel McGrath, Darragh Doyle, Leon Murphy (Tramore AFC).

Management Team:

Sean Geoghegan is going into his third year with the Waterford FC 2006 age group and first year as Manager. Before coaching with Waterford FC Academy, Sean spent 8 years in the USA playing and then coaching at different University and Academy levels. As well his academy duties, Sean also holds the title of Sport Manager at Waterford Institute of Technology and manages the premier football team with whom he won the CFAI cup in 2019. Sean is currently working towards his UEFA A licence, has an undergraduate degree in Economics from Queens College (NY), a Master’s in Business Administration from Kansas Wesleyan University and a Masters in Sport & Exercise Psychology from Waterford Institute of Technology.

 Coming into his third year with the Academy is Assistant Manager Mark Downey. Before starting his role in the Academy, Mark coached at club level in Kilkenny with Newpark and Evergreen FC and was part of the coaching staff on two Kennedy Cup tournaments with the Kilkenny Development squads. Mark is a UEFA B qualified coach, has a level 8 honours degree in Youth and Community from IT Carlow and a Sport & Recreation QQI Level 5 diploma. Mark’s main passions are the outdoors, S & C training and above all helping to develop the people he works with in the Waterford FC Academy.
