Darragh spoke to WaterfordFC.ie looking ahead to the game:
On Saturday’s 3-3 draw at home to Treaty United in the semi final…
“I have to say on Friday, it wasn’t the performance you’re looking for, but I think we just have to give some credit to ourselves for getting the job done more or less in the first leg, scoring the four goals and having a 4-1 lead.
“Obviously it wasn’t where we wanted to be [being behind on Saturday] but hopefully the second half especially will stand to us now for the next game this Friday against Galway United.”
On the First Division Play Offs…
“These games especially [Friday v Galway] are one off games and anything can happen. I think Treaty United worked really hard from the start last week and they got their rewards for that. They did well and got their penalties. We had half the job from the first leg so we took our foot off the gas but that something we’ll work on and make sure it doesn’t happen again going forward. We know we’re in for another difficult match on Friday but we’re ready.”
On the opposition…
“Galway United will be a tough test. We know what they’re like from playing the league matches so we’re looking forward to it. We’ll be well prepared going into the game. We’ve trained hard for the week and got ourselves right for the game and we’ll do everything we can to make sure we’re the ones going into the next round.”
