Waterford FC is delighted to announce that Shane Griffin has re-signed for the 2023 season.
Griffin came through the Blues’ Academy before graduating to the first team squad in recent years.
The 22-year-old combative midfielder made 39 appearances last season in league, cup and play off matches, scoring seven times.
Speaking to WaterfordFC.ie, Shane said:
“I’m delighted to be back for the 2023 season. Last year I really enjoyed being part of this team and I’m looking to build on that for next season.
“Unfortunately, we didn’t get promoted but we’re more determined than ever to put that right this season for the brilliant fans we have at the club.
“I’ve spoken to Danny [Searle] and the club and it’s brilliant to see plans are well underway for next season. I can’t wait to meet up with the lads and get going again.”
