With Waterford FC coming to the end their pre-season tour in Dubai, the lads were put through their paces on Thursday with two tough sessions and an analysis meeting.
The lads were up early on Thursday and headed down to Sports City in Dubai for a session on the grass. With time away from the field to explore on Wednesday afternoon, it was back to business for the Blues.
With this week focusing on fitness, getting minutes into the lads and also gelling the new group together, this day pushed the lads in all areas, not just physically. With training in the morning on ball work and running, the lads then headed back to The Manor by JA (HQ) and jumped into the pool for half an hour to relax muscles and cool down.

After a dip in the hotel pool, some of the coaching staff went outside to play some Paddle Tennis. Stay tuned on social media to check out the behind the scenes content on that match.
Soon after, it was time to have lunch and get ready for two further sessions. The first saw the group meet up to go through detailed goals and plans for the upcoming 2023 season – we left the gaffer [Danny Searle] and his coaching staff to it.
In the evening, it was back to the JA Sports Centre for the evening session. This pushed the lads even more and despite a busy week, everyone gave it their all with eyes on their final match of the -pre-season tour.
The final match will take place tomorrow night (Friday 27 January 2023) against Fleetwood United – a UAE Second Division side – at 6:30pm (2:30pm GMT).
Blues fans who are over in Dubai on holiday or who are residents, are welcome to the match free of charge.
