Waterford FC is delighted to announce sponsors for our Women’s National League U17 and U19 teams for the 2023 season.
The teams are in the first phase of their 2023 season, and we are delighted to welcome and thank Sun Life (U17), Aphex Group (U19) and DG Foods / Press Coffee for their support to our teams.
As part of the unique partnership, working with Sun Life and Aphex Group, we are delighted that the Shona Project, a non-profit organisation aimed at educating, empowering and inspiring Irish girls to become tomorrow’s strong, resilient, and confident young women, will be featured on both kits this season.
Sun Life (U17) and Aphex Group (U19) proudly emblazon the back of our brand-new Umbro kits, with Shona sitting front and centre of our match jerseys.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to sponsor the jerseys for the ladies team. It is an honour to support such a talented group of athletes and we wish them all the success they deserve this season. We are also very proud to be associated with The Shona Project and the tremendous work they do empowering the women of tomorrow.“ – Elaine Moore, Aphex Group
“We are thrilled to partner with The Shona Project to support the Waterford FC Under 17 Girls. Sun Life believes strongly in supporting local community organisations, especially those that help people embrace fitness and live healthier lives. We look forward to seeing these young women have a terrific football season!” – Donna Tilson, Sun Life.
“The team at The Shona Project are thrilled to back the Waterford girls teams this year. We know the importance of role models for young women, and sport plays a huge part in showing girls that there are amazing opportunities for them if they believe in themselves. We are hugely grateful to Sunlife and Aphex for helping us to support the girls this year, and we look forward to seeing the teams go from strength to strength.” – Tammy Darcy, Shona Project.
“We at Waterford FC are delighted to be partnering and collaborating alongside such esteemed organisations in our community. I’m especially proud of the team in working with our partners creating such unique value for everyone involved. Well done all and best of luck to our teams against Cork City and Wexford Youths this weekend.” – Marc O’Donovan-Wyatt, Waterford FC Chief Operating Officer.
DG Foods will be widely recognised by Blues fans as main sponsor to the Waterford FC first team, and we’re very thankful to Andrew and the team for their generosity once again.
DG Foods / Press Coffee will proudly sit on the sleeves of our brand-new Umbro 2023 home jerseys and this partnership continues to help the development of our Waterford FC Academy teams.
Both teams are back in action this weekend as the U17s take on Cork City in SETU Arena on Saturday, while the U19s are away to Wexford Youths on Sunday in Ferrycarrig Park.
