The Blues made it six consecutive wins last Friday night with a 2-1 win over Bray Wanderers at the Carlisle Grounds. Despite being a goal down the break, Ronan Coughlan’s brace ensured another three points for the Blues.

That was a second win in a matter of days after last Monday’s 4-1 win away to Treaty United.

Visitors Wexford FC lost 3-0 to Athlone Town on Friday night but will look to bounce back – Frantz Pierrot scoring a hat-trick to condemn Wexford to defeat.

The sides met on the opening day of the season in Ferrycarrig Park with Wassim Aouachria scoring a hat-trick for the Blues to secure the win.

The Blues come into the game sitting in second place. Wexford sit seventh.

From The Dugout: Speaking ahead of Monday’s match against Wexford FC, head coach Keith Long said:

“Friday was a good win in Bray. The boys showed great resilience in the second half to get a goal to bring us back into the game, got a really good second goal and saw the game out well to pick up the win.

“Wexford are near neighbours and we know we’re in for a good match. They have real quality. There’s always good local interest when the sides meet and the games are always very competitive. We’re expecting more of the same as we look to continue our good recent form.”

Team News: Darragh Power and Matthew Connor continue their recoveries from injury. Wassim Aouachria returns for selection, while Ryan Burke is suspended.
