The Blues come into the game on the back of a narrow 1-0 defeat on Friday night at the hands of Cobh Ramblers in St. Colman’s Park. A Wilson Waweru goal after 53 minutes secured the points for the Cork side, despite a late Blues equaliser being ruled out in stoppage time.

Visitors Finn Harps make the long journey to the Southeast on the back of a 1-0 defeat at home against Wexford FC last weekend.

The sides last met in May when the Blues ran out comfortable 4-0 winners in Donegal. Goals from Connor Parsons, Dean McMenamy and a Ronan Coughlan brace picked up the points for Keith Long’s side on the road.

The sides last meeting in the RSC saw the Blues run out 7-1 winners in a dominant performance in March.

The visitors come into the game in 8th place, 21 points behind the Blues in second place.

From The Dugout: Speaking ahead of Friday’s match against Finn Harps, head coach Keith Long said:

“We are looking to bounce back from last week’s disappointing performance away to Cobh. It was a performance that lacked any sort of purpose and we got what we deserved from the game with a lacklustre out of character type of display.

“We fell short of the standards we have set for ourselves, and we will be doing everything to correct that and bounce back with a good team performance.”

Team News: Harvey Warren, Shane Griffin and Dean McMenamy miss out through injury, while Ryan Burke is a doubt following a knock last week against Cobh.
