Waterford FC is delighted to announce that Niall O’Keeffe has signed a new contract to remain with the club ahead of the 2024 season.

Since joining the club in 2017, Niall has worked his way through the club’s Academy from Under-17 and Under-19 before joining the first team squad.

Despite being just 22, the midfielder has more than 100 senior League of Ireland appearances for the club and brings important league experience to the Blues midfield.

Niall played almost 40 times last season as the Blues won promotion to the Premier Division for 2024.

Speaking to Waterfordfc.ie, Niall said:

“I’m buzzing to be back at the Blues for the 2024 season.

“It was an easy decision for me, at my home club, when the manager said he wanted me in his plans for the coming season in the Premier Division. You can see the club has been on the up now for the past year or two and is moving in the right direction, so I’m delighted to be a part of it.

“The hard work has already begun to be ready for pre season. I can’t wait to get down to a packed RSC in the new year to see and hear the brilliant supporters that we’ve got in this club.”
