Waterford FC

The Blues make the journey West to face Galway United in their latest Premier Division game in their returning season to the top-flight of Irish football this Friday, as Keith Long’s side go in search of maintaining their unbeaten start to the campaign.

Waterford drew 1-1 with Shelbourne at the RSC in their opening game of the season a fortnight ago, before defeating Drogheda United by four-goals-to-one up in Weavers Park last Friday, which now leaves the Blues at the top of the Premier Division table after two game weeks.

Darragh Leahy netted twice last week, along with Niall O’Keeffe & Padraig Amond scoring their first goals for the Blues, as Waterford produced a fine performance in front of a large travelling support to return home to the RSC with all three-points.

It’s another trip on the road this Friday, before a quick turn-around next Monday (1st March) where the Blues host St. Patrick’s Athletic at the RSC, with tickets on sale now for the clash.

Galway United FC

Fellow promoted side Galway United welcome to the Blues to Eamonn Deacy Park this Friday, as the Tribesmen look for another positive result after a strong 2-0 away win at Oriel Park against Dundalk FC last Friday.

Goals from Ed McCarthy & Aodh Dervin secured Galway their first points of the season in the county Louth venue, after they fell to an opening-day one-nil defeat to St. Patrick’s Athletic at Eamonn Deacy Park.
