Waterford FC has a new & exciting opportunity for a determined and forward-thinking Office Manager to join our thriving football club based at our offices in Waterford city.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

About the role:


Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Office Manager will lead the administrative function
which includes the handling, management and reporting of all daily transactions alongside any and all withdrawals and lodgements within Waterford Football Club.


This role will suit an organised, process focused and detail orientated individual who relishes
responsibility and takes pride in solving complex challenges daily. A full clean Irish Driving License is essential.


Main responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Lead the management, handing and reporting of all daily transactions.
  • Responsible for the management of cash and the implementation and overall financial
    controls both on matchday and daily operations.
  • Manage the lodgements and withdrawals of any and all required monies.
  • Report office progress to senior management and working with them to improve office
    operations and procedures.
  • Answering telephone calls and emails from customers and clients and directing them to
    relevant staff.
  • General office facility management.
  • Managing the day-to-day function in the club’s retail and ticket office
  • Handling and processing of all invoices and cost management.
  • Office budget managements and setting of rotas.

Qualification and Experience Requirements:

  • Strong experience of senior administration at a football club or within a community facing
    organisation / retail industry would be an advantage
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines and being able to prioritise workload
  • Numeric in nature and comfortable working in a data driven environment.
  • Excellent level of verbal and written communication when dealing with internal and external
    stakeholders
  • High proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • A team player able to work effectively as part of a team and independently using own
    initiative
  • Experience in high volume of cash handling and transaction management.
