“We are delighted to partner with Waterford Food Bank & Mount Sion CBS again this year to help in their Food Drive. The work Waterford Food Bank do in the city & county is vital and all items donated go straight to where they are needed.

This is one of several initiatives we do with Mount Sion CBS & Waterford Foodbank and is a good example of what can be achieved when different elements of our community work together. The pupils and staff in Mount Sion are always very supportive with anything Waterford FC in the Community try to do and I am excited to see the partnership with Waterford Food Bank,  Mount Sion CBS & Waterford FC in the Community continue to grow.”

Mount Sion CBS teacher Zoe Cuddihy also spoke on the exciting partnership:

“We, the Mount Sion Amber Flag Committee, are absolutely delighted to be able to support Waterford Food Bank for the 2nd year in a row with our Food Drive. It is an amazing opportunity for our staff and students to give back to the local community which supports us at every opportunity.

The Waterford Food Bank is such a worthwhile organisation that we are lucky to work with. We hope that the Mount Sion CBS community will support us in our collection so we can make it even bigger than last year.”

Karen Glancy of Waterford Food Bank is delighted to partner with Mount Sion CBS & Waterford FC for their second-year:

“The support Waterford Food Bank gets from Mount Sion CBS and its pupils is fantastic, they not only run food drives during school term, but are also valuable contributors to our Fill A Bus Christmas campaign. The boys truly know the meaning of community responsibility and that is down to the amazing teachers and staff. We are very grateful with any and all help we get in helping our city’s most vulnerable and in need.”
