The Blues face a quick turnaround this weekend, as Keith Long’s side are back on the road on Monday to take on Shamrock Rovers FC in Tallaght Stadium in their latest SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division clash.
The Blues make the journey to Tallaght Stadium on Monday afternoon, on the back of a fantastic 1-0 win away to Sligo Rovers on Friday night. Christie Pattisson’s early second-half strike inside the Sligo penalty area proved the difference between the sides, as the Blues moved ahead of the Bit o’Red in the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division table into seventh position.
Keith Long’s side will make the journey to Tallaght on Monday looking to pick up their first points of the season against the Hoops, after Stephen Bradley’s side narrowly defeated the Blues by two-goals-to-one.
Darragh Burns opened the scoring early in the second-half, before Robbie McCourt found the bottom-corner with a well-taken free-kick moments later. Roberto Lopes came off the bench to head home the winner for the reigning champions twenty minutes from time.
