SATURDAY 11th MAY

WU17: CK United FC 1-7 Waterford FC

Our WU17 side continued their winning start to 2024, as they defeated CK United FC by seven goals to one in Burrin Celtic on Saturday afternoon to make it eight wins from eight.

Zara Corcoran & Olivia Shannon both bagged a brace, while Issy Walsh, Cliodhna Malone & Ellie O’Carroll also got their names on the scoresheet for Trevor Casey’s side, as they sit five points clear at the top of the EA Sports WU17 LOI Academy Group C table.

MU20: Waterford FC 2-0 Cork City FC

Our MU20 side made it three wins on the bounce with a strong two-nil win at home to Cork City FC on Saturday afternoon.

Anthony Adenopo got the Blues off to the perfect start, netting after two-minutes, before Evan Geary doubled the sides lead after 15 minutes.

The Blues sit at the top of their EA Sports MU20 LOI Academy Group C table on 19 points from eight games.

MU15: Cobh Ramblers 5-3 Waterford FC

Our MU15 side fell to defeat away to Cobh Ramblers on Saturday, coming out the wrong side of a five-three scoreline.

Harry Farrell put the Blues into the lead after just four minutes, before the hosts scored without reply until Orion Cala scored two late goals for Waterford as the Blues fell to defeat.

SUNDAY 12th MAY

MU17: Treaty United FC 1-2 Waterford FC

Our MU17s picked up their third win of the season with an excellent performance against a strong Treaty United side on Sunday afternoon at the Manor Fields in Limerick.

The Blues fell behind inside the opening minute, before Jay Brophy equalised for Waterford after 13 minutes. Jan Wozniak struck the winner for the Blues on the hour mark as they held out for the remainder of the game to pick up a valuable three points.

WU19: Treaty United FC 0-2 Waterford FC

The Blues returned to winning ways with a two-nil win away to Treaty United on Sunday evening in UL.

Zara Corcoran scored her third goal of the weekend for the club as she made the step-up to the WU19 side, along with Charlotte Forsey to double the Blues’ lead and earn them three points in Limerick.
