The Blues are back at home next Thursday (23rd May), as they welcome Kevin Doherty & his Drogheda United side to the RSC in a televised game between the sides on Virgin Media, and we have all the information you need for our clash with the Drogs.
After a busy start to life back in the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division, the Blues welcome Drogheda United FC to the RSC on Thursday 23rd May in our latest home league game.
Keith Long’s side produced an early season upset when defeating Drogheda by four-goals-to-one in Weavers Park in just the second game week of the season. After falling a goal behind early on, the Blues levelled the scoring moments later through Darragh Leahy’s first goal for the Blues.
Niall O’Keeffe netted his first-ever senior goal for Waterford FC in his 123rd appearance for the club to give the Blues the lead after 23 minutes.
Darragh Leahy extended the Blues lead with his second of the game on the hour mark, before the experienced Padraig Amond got off the mark for the Blues with his first goal for the club to make it 4-1 after 71 minutes, as the Blues picked up their first three points of the season in a game that saw over 300 Blues fans back the side in Weavers Park.

Our new & improved Fan Zone will be open once again for our SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division clash against Drogheda United FC on Thursday 23rd May.
Our brand-new Fan Zone re-opened in March, giving supporters the perfect place to grab a bite to eat, chat about the game with fellow supporters & test out your skills with our various inflatable challenges brought to you by Bounce Land.
Gates open at the earlier time of 6pm on home match nights at the RSC, to give fans plenty time to mingle in our Fan Zone.
Our Blues Kitchen in our Fan Zone will be open from 6pm, with a variety of hot foods available for fans to try out, including:
