A reminder to all supporters that the Waterford FC Community Boot Room remains open for those in need to use it.
In partnership with Suir Engineering, the Community Boot Room was launched in March with the official opening taking place in April where Community Development Manager of the FAI Derek O’Neill was in attendance to officially open our latest community initiative.
Waterford FC in the Community are very aware through the work they do that there are times, for various reasons, that families may not be able to purchase a new pair of boots or gear. There are times when boots or gear are too small, too big, or damaged need to be worn.
As boots & gear can be one of the more expensive items for sport, we have launched this to try and assist families when they need it. It will be based permanently in the RSC, our home ground.
If anyone is in the position to leave in football boots (new or used), or football gear, you can drop the items into our Club Shop located at Kingsmeadow Retail Park – a stones throw away from the RSC.
Recently, our very own Grant Horton donated some of his own items to our Community Boot Room, where our Head of Community Development at the club Colin Power was delighted to accept.
If for whatever reason you need to avail of our Community Boot Room, contact colin.power@waterfordfc.ie or community@waterfordfc.ie, or ring Colin on 087-2822822.
