The Blues are back on the road this Saturday (31st August), making the long journey to the Showgrounds to take on Sligo Rovers in our latest SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division meeting in a 7:45pm kick-off.
Keith Long’s men make the journey to Sligo looking to build on our strong home win against Saturday’s opposition when the Blues defeated Sligo 4-1 at the RSC in June. Ben McCormack, Connor Parsons & a brace from Padraig Amond saw the Blues pick up a valuable three points in-front of almost 2,500 spectators at the RSC.
After falling to a narrow defeat to Derry City at the RSC last Friday, the Blues will look to rectify that will a result at the Showgrounds on Saturday – a venue where Waterford picked up maximum points in our last visit to thanks to Christie Pattisson’s volley in the 46th minute to decide the game.
