Fixture: Waterford FC vs Dundalk FC

Competition: SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division

Date: Friday 13th September 2024

Venue: RSC

Kick-off: 7:45pm

WATERFORD FC

The Blues return to action after the recent international window, with the visit of Dundalk FC to the RSC this Friday in their latest SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division clash.

The Blues have found success against the Lilywhites in their previous three meetings this year, picking up seven points out of a possible nine (Two wins, one draw).

After a stalemate at Oriel Park in March, Waterford produced a four-goal display to see off Dundalk at the RSC in May with a strong 4-1 win.

Our most recent meeting in Oriel Park in June saw the Blues pick up another full-set of points, with a dominant 2-0 win thanks to first-half goals from Connor Parsons & Dean McMenamy.

With seven games left to play this season, the Blues sit in sixth place in the league table with 40 points to their name from 29 games played. Just five points separate 3rd to 6th in the league table heading into this Friday’s fixture.

DUNDALK FC

The Lilywhites make the journey down to the RSC this Friday looking to pick up their first win in seven games. After defeating Louth rivals Drogheda United FC on 12th July, Jon Daly’s men have picked up just two points out of a possible eighteen.

A difficult season to date for the Oriel Park side see’s Dundalk lay at the foot of the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division table, 1 point behind Drogheda United FC in the Play-off spot. Dundalk currently have 24 points from 29 games.
