Waterford FC’s SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division game against Drogheda United FC – originally scheduled for Friday 4th October – will now take place seven days later on Friday 11th October.

Due to Drogheda United’s involvement in this years Sports Direct Men’s FAI Cup semi-finals taking place on the weekend of 5th/6th October, our home game against Kevin Doherty’s side will now take place a week later at the RSC during the upcoming International break, with kick-off remaining at 7:45pm.

The Blues have picked up six points against Drogheda so far in 2024, with our most recent win against the Louth side coming at the RSC in-front of the Virgin Media camera’s in May as the Blues secured an impressive 4-2 win.

After falling two-nil behind, Padraig Amond produced a stunning 13-minute hat-trick to turn the game on it’s head, before Darragh Power added a fourth for the Blues, in-front of over 2,400 spectators at the RSC.
