WATERFORD FC
The end of the Blues’ first year back in the top-flight of Irish football nears its end, as Waterford FC welcome Bohemian FC to the RSC this Friday for their final home league game of the 2024 SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division season.
Keith Long’s men head into the game looking to maintain their 100% record over Bohemians to-date in 2024, with three impressive wins over the Phibsborough side secured this season.
Padraig Amond’s 31st-minute strike proved the difference between the sides in Dalymount Park at the beginning of April, before Christie Pattisson & Amond again secured the points for the Blues at the RSC in May in a 2-1 win in-front of 3,000 spectators.
The sides met for their third meeting of the season in August, as the Blues came from two-goals down at half-time to pick up a huge 3-2 win. An Adam McDonnell goal early in the second-half halved the deficit for the Blues, before Darragh Power’s strike on the hour-mark got us level. Sam Glenfield stole the headlines on his first-start for the club with a stunning effort from 25-yards ten minutes from time to pick up all three points for Keith Long’s side.
The Blues occupy 7th position into the league table going into Friday’s game, with 44 points to their name from 34 games.

Alan Reynold’s side come into the game on the back of an impressive two-nil away win in Sligo last Saturday evening, with goals from Dawson Devoy & Archie Meekison giving Bohs their tenth win of the season.
The Phibsborough outfit sit below the Blues in 8th place in the Premier Division table on 40 points ahead of their final two league games.
