After putting pen to paper on a deal with Waterford FC, our newest signing Trae Coyle spoke to us earlier today about joining the club.
“I’m delighted to be here. I’m excited to get started & to meet everyone. I want to create things for my teammates, as well as scoring goals for the side, and be exciting for the fans to watch. I feel like I can help the team a lot.
I have a few friends & people that I know who have played here [in Ireland] before, and they’ve only spoken highly of the league here. It’s a league that obviously growing, and I think it’s a good platform for myself personally.
My time in Switzerland was good. There were good times and bad times of course, but I feel like I learnt a lot. I feel like it was a time that I needed to feel the way I feel now.
It was great being in the Arsenal academy. It’s one of the best clubs in the world to be in their academy – it’s somewhere that I learnt a lot. It’s something that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life, and has put me in a good position now.
It was good to meet the group today. There’s still some boys I’m yet to meet, but I’m excited and looking forward to seeing how I can fit into the group”
