Waterford FC can confirm that Calum Costello has joined Bray Wanderers FC today on a season-long loan for the 2025 League of Ireland season.

The now 18-year-old joined the club six years ago from his schoolboy club Carrick United AFC, coming up through the ranks of the Waterford FC Academy before signing his first professional contract with the club last summer.

Fresh off the new contract, Costello netted the winning goal in his first senior appearance for the club in last season’s Munster Senior Cup final against Kerry FC in Turners Cross, as our young Blues defeated the Kingdom as Waterford picked up our 16th-ever Munster Senior Cup title.

Costello proved the match-winner once more last Friday, as the Blues defeated Bandon AFC in our 3rd round clash of this season’s Munster Senior Cup, as his 38th-minute penalty saw David Breen’s side progress into the quarter-final of this season’s competition.

Calum will now spend the 2025 season on loan with Bray Wanderers in the SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division, where he will continue his development at the Carlisle Grounds.

Best of luck, Calum!
