Waterford FC are pleased to announce that Tony Kelly has been appointed as the club’s new Commercial Manager.
Tony, who is a life-long supporter of the Blues, came on board to host ‘The Official Waterford FC Podcast’ during the 2024 which saw Tony present season one that gave Blues fans an in-sight to the life inside Waterford FC through various special guests such as Padraig Amond, Keith Long & Jamie Pilley.
Kelly is also a well-known face in our hospitality lounge, hosting our lounge for each home game at the RSC where fans get the opportunity to relax to live entertainment, with various special guests and interviews happening each night – along with a Man of the Match presentation after every game.
Tony was appointed as a commercial executive in September, where he continued to create strong connections across the local Waterford community and nationwide.
Speaking on his appointment, Tony said:
“I’m delighted to accept this new role and the further responsibilities that it brings. It’s a hugely exciting time to be a fan of Waterford FC so, to be a fan who also just so happens to work for the club is just doubly so.”
Chief Operating Officer Richy Walsh was delighted to welcome Tony in his new position, commenting:
“We’re delighted to announce Tony as our Commercial Manager. Tony has made a big impact since coming into the club last year – first as our podcast host before becoming a full-time member of our commercial department – and now being named commercial manager”.
