Earlier this week, some of our Women’s first-team paid a visit to St. Saviours National School, where the pupils where given a private coaching session by our Blues players!

First-team stars Maeve Williams, Danielle Griffin & Zoey Croke took time out of their busy schedules to spend the afternoon with St. Saviours NS.

The three players spent an hour with the students, putting them through their paces & teaching them some secret skills, before chatting to the group afterwards with plenty of selfies taken afterwards.

Speaking on the visit, Mrs. O’Donoghue from St. Saviours NS was delighted to welcome Waterford FC in the Community to their school, mentioning:

“We were delighted to have members of the Waterford FC Women’s team visit St. Saviour’s N.S. today. The girls were really looking forward to the visit and left the hall inspired after the session.

The three girls Maeve, Zoey and Danielle were fantastic role models and put our girls through their paces whilst showcasing some of their skills. Many thanks to Colin Power for organising the visit.

We would like to wish all at Waterford FC the very best of luck in the season ahead and we look forward to working closely with you in the future. The future is bright for Women’s Football!”

Head of Community Development at Waterford FC Colin Power was delighted to bring the players to St. Saviours for the day, commenting:

“I want to thank all at St. Saviours for inviting us in and for a very enjoyable hour.

Danielle, Maeve and Zoey have promised to come back in the coming weeks to take another session and hope to see some of the pupils in The RSC on March the 15th at our first home game of the season!”
