Waterford FC can confirm that midfielder Ben McCormack has today joined First Division outfit Wexford FC on loan for the remainder of the 2025 SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division season.
McCormack made the move to the Blues from St. Patrick’s Athletic FC ahead of the 2024 season, as he made an instant impact for Waterford – making 29 league appearances in 2024, along with four cup games across the FAI Cup & Munster Senior Cup.
Ben netted his first goal for the Blues in a 4-1 win against Sligo Rovers FC at the RSC in June of last year, before scoring the winning goal against his old side St. Patrick’s Athletic FC just a month later.
The midfielder has made 12 further appearances for the Blues in 2025, as he makes the loan-move to our south-east neighbours for the second-half of the season.
