Ahead of next Monday’s SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division game against Shamrock Rovers FC at the RSC, Waterford FC can announce we will be trialling Audio Descriptive Commentary service for the game in partnership with Shamrock Rovers.
Ahead of our fourth & final fixture against the Hoops in 2025, the Blues are delighted to announce our audio descriptive commentary trial period for our meeting next Monday (22nd September) at the RSC.
Audio Descriptive Commentary (ADC) is a dedicated matchday service that brings live football to life for blind and visually impaired supporters. Specially trained commentators provide an additional layer of detail beyond standard commentary, describing the action, positioning, atmosphere, and visual elements of the game in real time. For Waterford FC, offering ADC helps make matchdays more inclusive and ensures every supporter can experience the full emotion and excitement of football at the RSC.
A word of thanks to Pheilim Warren at Shamrock Rovers for his co-operation & helping set this up at the RSC next week.
For any supporters looking to avail of this service, or to find out more information, they can do so by contacting Waterford FC’s Head of Community Development Colin Power at colin.power@waterfordfc.ie.
