After a three-week break from action, the Blues finally return to action on Friday as they travel to Dalymount Park to take on Bohemian FC in our latest SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division fixture of the season, and we have everything you need to know ahead of kick-off!

Bohemian FC vs Waterford FC
SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division
Dalymount Park, Dublin
Friday 19th September
7:45pm
WATERFORD FC
John Coleman’s Blues return to league action this Friday evening after a three-week break since our last game in Cork at the end of August as we make the journey to Dalymount Park for our fourth and final league clash against Bohemian FC of the season.
The Blues have found Dalymoutnt Park a happy hunting ground over the last 18-months or so, with three wins on the bounce against the Dublin outfit – most recently a 2-1 win back in May with goals either side of half-time from James Olayinka & Tommy Lonergan giving the Blues an important set of three points.
Going into Friday’s game, the Blues sit in seventh position in the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division table, with 34 points to our name from 29 games played so far in 2025.

BOHEMIAN FC
Alan Reynold’s side will look to avenge his sides form against the Blues this year with a positive result on Friday evening. To-date in 2025, Bohemians have lost two of their three games against the Blues – with their only win coming at the RSC in March in a 3-0 away win.
Bohs fell to a narrow 4-3 defeat at home to fellow European chasers Derry City last Friday at Dalymount Park, as the Candystripes moved ahead of Bohemians in the league table into second place.
The Phibsborough side sit in third position in the league table going into Friday’s game, with 47 points amassed in 2025.

TEAM NEWS
One or two bodies have overcome knocks to be ready for tomorrow’s game in Dublin. Full complement of players trained earlier today ahead of the clash in Dalymount Park.
JOHN COLEMAN’S THOUGHTS
“We’ve trained really well [over the last 3 weeks]. It gave us a chance to get some points across. We’ve got to stand up & be counted for between now and the end of the season.
I know Bohs are a good team, I’ve watched them a lot of times. They had a cracking game last week against Derry, and on another night they could’ve easily won that game. We’ve got to be at our best to compete with them, and I fully believe we can. We’re going there not to shut up shop, we’re going there to try and win a game.”
