We are delighted to announnce that both our Senior Men’s & Women’s sides have today received a Premier Division Licence ahead of the 2026 SSE Airtricity Men’s & Women’s Premier Division campaigns kicking off next year.
Waterford FC have been granted a Premier Division licence for both our 2026 SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division campaigns by the FAI after our Licencing Officers worked over the last few weeks to help secure our licence ahead of our new campigns.
Along with the Blues, eleven other League of Ireland clubs have received a Premier Division for the 2026 SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division – Bohemian FC, Cork City FC, Derry City FC, Drogheda United FC, Dundalk FC, Galway United FC, Shamrock Rovers FC, Shelbourne FC, Sligo Rovers FC, St. Patrick’s Athletic FC & UCD AFC.
In the Women’s Premier Division, all eleven other Premier Division sides have been granted a Premier Division licence to compete in the 2026 SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division – Athlone Town AFC, Bohemian FC, Cork City FC, DLR Waves, Galway United FC, Peamount United FC, Shamrock Rovers FC, Shelbourne FC, Sligo Rovers FC & Treaty United FC.
