Waterford FC are delighted to announce that Jason Healy has to put pen-to-paper to remain a Blue for 2026.

The 19 year-old shot-stopper heads into his seventh year at the club, having joined the club at U13 level from Southend United, before earning his first professional contract in 2023.

Healy made his first-team debut for the club in July of 2023, in our mid-season friendly against Fleetwood Town at the RSC, before making his competitive debut for the club later that year away to Galway United in October, coming on as a half-time substitute in Eamonn Deacy Park in our SSE Airtricity Men’s First-Division clash.

Jason was part of the Blues squad over the course of the last two seasons, whilst playing for our MU20’s side, as he now commits his future to his hometown club for 2026 after agreeing a new contract for the upcoming SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division campaign which kicks off in February.

Speaking on his new deal with the club, Healy spoke of his excitement to work under Jon Daly in 2026, saying:

“I’m happy to be back with the Blues for another year now. I’m looking forward to meeting up with the group & working with Jon Daly for hopefully a positive and exciting year.

I’m really looking forward to working under Brian Murphy again this year who has a massive impact on us goalkeepers throughout the season to keep us ready for each and every game.”

Jason Healy’s Player Sponsorship is now available for 2026. Contact Waterford FC Commercial Manager Tony Kelly at tony.kelly@waterfordfc.ie to find out more.
