Men’s First-Team Squad Update

As we reach the Sumer transfer window, Waterford FC can provide the following updates to our men’s first-team squad.

Already announced, Ronan Mansfield has joined Cobh Ramblers on loan for the remainder of the 2026 season, whilst Zak O’Sullivan – who spent the last 12 months on loan at Fleetwood Town – has returned to the Blues following his loan in the UK and has subsequently joined Wexford FC in the First-Division for the second-half of the 2026 campaign at Ferrycarrig Park.

Departing the Blues are the trio of Calum Costello, Muhammad Oladiti & Sean Costelloe who have all joined Fleetwood Town on permanent deals.

After joining the Blues at 12 years of age, Calum Costello came up through the ranks of the Waterford FC Academy before earning his first professional deal in 2024. Loans at Bray Wanderers & Fleetwood followed this, as he now makes his loan move permanent at Highbury Stadium.

Muhammad Oladiti returned to his hometown club 12 months ago from Shamrock Rovers, as he spent the second-half of the 2025 season with our MU20s before earning his first professional deal with the Blues ahead of the 2026 campaign. Mo spent the first-half of this year with Wexford, before now making the move across the Irish Sea to join the Cods.

Sean Costelloe is the third Blue to move to Fleetwood this window, similarly to his name-sake Calum making his loan move permanent. Sean joined the Blues from Treaty United in 2025, before spending 12 months with Fleetwood as he now returns to Fyldeside.

Waterford FC can also confirm that defender Adam Coyne has departed the club. Adam, who also came up through the Waterford FC Academy joining our U13s in 2019, earned his first professional contract with the Blues two years ago.

Everyone at Waterford FC would like to wish Calum, Muhammad, Sean & Adam the very best of luck in their future careers, and we would like to wish Ronan & Zak all the best with the respective loan moves for the remainder of the season.
