Tommy Lonergan has once again been included in the Republic of Ireland U21 squad for their upcoming UEFA EURO Qualifiers away to Slovakia, before a double-header at home to Kazakhstan & England.
With 15 goals to his name across all competitions since the start of the year, Tommy has been rewarded with his latest call-up to Jim Crawford’s side – looking to add to his already five caps at U21 level since his debut in 2024.
Lonergan has been called up alongside former Blue Romeo Akachukwu for the three-game camp which kicks off away to Slovakia in Kosice on Friday 25th September (7pm), before returning to Ireland for back-to-back games against Kazakhstan (Tuesday 29th September) at 7pm & England (Tuesday 6th September) at 6pm in Munster FA Turners Cross in Cork.
Lonergan is one of just three League of Ireland players included in Jim Crawford’s side, with Shamrock Rovers duo Adam Brennan & Michael Noonan also set to be involved.
