Waterford FC make their second trip of the season to Limerick on Friday evening as the Blues take on Treaty United in Markets Field.

The Blues come into the game on the back of a 2-2 draw last Friday night against Longford TOwn in the RSC.

Despite playing much of the second half with 10 men, despite a brave performance from Keith Long’s side the Blues were forced to settle for a share of the spoils. Roland Idowu had given the Blues the lead after 6 minutes, with a Ronan Coughlan spot kick midway through the first half giving the Blues a 2-1 lead at the break.

Treaty come into the game on Friday night after a 3-2 win over Kerry FC last weekend. Goals from Mark Ludden, Dean George and Enda Curran gave the Limerick side all three points.

The sides last met in at the beginning of June when the Blues ran out comfortable 7-0 winners, while the last meeting in Markets Field saw the Blues cruise to a 4-1 win.

The visitors come into the game in 6th place, 19 points behind the Blues in second place.
