Waterford FC Under-15s made it two wins in ten days against Wexford FC after a 2-0 win in Ferrycarrig Park on Tuesday evening.

The Blues came into the game having beat their southeast neighbours 3-1 at the RSC ten days ago and an excellent performance saw them once again pick up three points.

Having rotated some of the squad from their previous game, the Blues started well with some good early possession while looking dangerous on the attack.

And they made it count with the opening goal after 16 minutes. Ian Byrne did well down the right and his deep cross deceived Wexford keeper David Murphy but Blues midfielder Charlie Binions was on hand to head home to make it 1-0.

The Blues didn’t stop there and made it 2-0 after 27 minutes. Byrne was again involved and after Binions had brilliantly dummied the cross, Kacper Zajac was on hand to control and fire past Murphy to make it 2-0.

Wexford came out in the second half and pressed but the Blues defended brilliantly all over the pitch. Although having to defend more than the first period, the young Blues showed brilliant determination and resolve to keep Wexford out and claim all three points.
