Waterford FC is delighted to announce that Niall O’Keeffe will remain a Blue for the 2023 season.
Having started his League of Ireland career with the Waterford FC U17s, the 21-year-old has grown from strength to strength over the following years and has established himself as a crucial player in the Blues midfield.
The midfielder was a mainstay in the team in 2022 with over 35 appearances, as the Blues finished second in the league.
Speaking to WaterfordFC.ie, O’Keeffe said:
“I’m delighted to be back on board for the 2023 season. It wasn’t a difficult decision for me to make at all.
“You can see from just looking at the club that it is only moving in one direction both on and off the pitch and I am delighted to be part of that.
“I’m looking forward to meeting up with the lads again soon for some hard work in pre-season. Obviously, I am looking forward to playing games again in front of our fantastic supporters again next season and trying to bring us back to where we belong in the Premier Division.”
