Waterford FC landed in Dubai early Monday morning ahead of their week-long training camp in the United Arab Emirates, and we have all the round-up from the first day on the pre-season tour.
The tour officially started back at the club’s training ground, the SETU Arena and saw the staff and players get a coach up to Dublin, with their flight later that evening heading straight to Dubai.
After the 8 hour flight, the Blues landed. They collected their bags and made the 25 minute journey to The Manor by JA Hotel to grab a bite to eat and rest up ahead of their evening session at the JA Sports Centre.
The lads were all geared up for their first training session, and worked hard with head coach Danny Searle running the lads, whilst also making the session fun with small sided games and bonding activities for those new to the group.
With the first match of the tour taking place tomorrow night (Tuesday 24 January 2023) against The Green Herons – a UAE Third Division side – preparations were in full flow, and with just an hour done on the training pitch, it was back to the hotel for food and rest ahead of the busy week.
Blues fans who are over in Dubai on holiday or who are residents, they are welcome to the match free of charge.
Make sure you are in the stands to watch the Blues during the 2023 League of Ireland First Division season by getting your very own Season Ticket.
Adult tickets are €195, with Concessions and Students only €135, and Under-14s at €70!
