Waterford FC can confirm the signing of young forward Chris Conn-Clarke on a season-long loan from sister club, Fleetwood Town.

Conn-Clarke will look to build on his loan spell at Altrincham this season, where he played in 28 games, scoring nine goals in the process – five of those coming over the festive period, with a brace over Maidenhead in his sides 3-2 win at the J.Davidson Stadium.

The 21-year-old has come through the Northern Ireland youth ranks, and has represented his country at Under-21s during his time at Fleetwood Town – alongside current loanee at Waterford FC, Barry Baggley – who also joined the Blues a week before the pre-season tour to Dubai.

The forward could feature tonight against Cobb W, will be available for the friendly match against Shamrock Rovers on Saturday 4 February in Roadstone, before the Blues finish pre-season at the RSC on Saturday 11 February to St Patrick’s Athletic. Kick-off for this match will be 2pm.
