Congratulations and best of luck to Academy duo Jason Healy and Romeo Akachukwu as they begin their UEFA European U17 Championships campaign in Hungary.
The young Irish team have been drawn in Group A with Poland, Wales and hosts Hungary. Their opening game is on Wednesday (May 17) against Poland before they face Wales on Saturday, May 20 and Hungary on Tuesday, May 23. All games will be live on RTÉ News channel and RTE Player.
Jason and Romeo are part of the Blues Under-19s having come through the Academy, with both also already involved with the Waterford FC first team.
A fantastic honour for both to once again represent their country – well done to all coaches who have worked with both players over the years from the Blues Academy and the schoolboy clubs where both began their football education; Jason joined the Blues from Southend United, with Romeo joining from Ferrybank FC.
