After picking up an impressive win away to Bohemians last Friday in Dalymount Park, the Blues will look to continue their momentum with the visit of Galway United to the RSC on Friday.
Padraig Amond’s 31st-minute strike proved the difference between the Blues & Bohemians last Friday, as Keith Long’s side picked up their third win of the season in-front of a packed-out Dalymount Park – where over 400 Waterford fans made the journey to back the side in the away-end.
After the win, the Blues moved up to sixth place in the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division table after the completion of the first round of fixtures, with 11 points to their name.
GALWAY UNITED FC
The Tribesmen make the journey to Waterford on Friday sitting in seventh-spot in the league table on ten points after eight games played.
John Caulfield’s side are looking to bounce back after a 2-0 defeat at home to Bohemians on Easter Monday, before their scheduled league game away to Sligo Rovers last Saturday (6th April) was postponed due to the poor weather conditions caused by Storm Kathleen.
Galway will be looking to make it two wins against the Blues this season, having defeated Waterford by two-goals-to-one at the beginning of March. Padraig Amond had the Blues in the lead at half-time, firing home from an excellent Connor Parsons cross, before two second-half goals saw the home side take the points.

Cameron Cresswell (Thigh) & Barry Baggley (Back) both miss out. Matt Connor returned to training after illness earlier in the week.
