The Blues’ 2025 pre-season line-up has now been confirmed, with Keith Long’s side set to play a total of seven games ahead of the new League of Ireland season commencing on February 15th.

The Blues’ 2025 league campaign will begin on Saturday 15th February, as Keith Long brings his side to the West of Ireland to take on Sligo Rovers at The Showgrounds to begin the highly anticipated 2025 League of Ireland season.

Ahead of the start of the league, Waterford will play six pre-season friendlies along with a Munster Senior Cup clash, in preparation for the new season – kicking off today against Bohemian FC in a behind-closed-doors clash.

The Blues welcome Munster senior League side Bandon AFC to the RSC next Friday (17th January) for our Munster Senior Cup 3rd Round tie – a game that is open to supporters and will give Blues fans their first opportunity to check out some of our newest signings.

The following day (18th January), Waterford will face Shelbourne FC as preparations ramp up ahead of the new season, before we face Cork City FC on Friday 24th January. Both of these games will be played behind-closed-doors.

On Saturday 1st February, we will welcome Bohemian FC to the RSC for our fourth friendly – a game that will be open to supporters to attend. Kick-off will be at 2pm.

The Blues will then welcome Treaty United to the RSC on Friday 7th January for a 7pm kick-off, before we make the short journey to Ferrycarrig Park to take on First Division outfit Wexford FC the following day.
