Waterford FC defender Navajo Bakboord has been called-up to the Suriname Senior Men’s side for their upcoming international games later this month.

Bakboord made the move over to the RSC at the beginning of this season, where he has started the season occupying our right wing-back position.
Navajo has 5 senior caps to his name to-date since his international debut for Suriname in 2023 in their respective CONCACAF Nations League & World Cup Qualifying campaigns, as he is now called-up for their upcoming Gold Cup Preliminary fixtures.
Suriname host Martinique on March 21st, before travelling to the same opposition four days later on 25th March, as they saim to qualify for this summers CONCACAF Gold Cup which takes place in Canada & the United States.
Suriname made their own history in the most recent edition of the prestigious tournament, reaching the group stages of the Gold Cup for the first time in their federation’s history, as they look to repeat their fate this summer once more.
