Waterford will be looking to pick up points in Tallaght on Friday, a venue where the Blues have had success in the last 12-months. Keith Long’s side picked up an impressive 3-1 win against the Hoops last May, befor being narrowly defeated on the final day of the 2024 season (2-1), as they make the journey to the capital once again on Friday.

The Blues head into the game in eighth position, as they look to pick up their third away win of the season after impressive wins against Sligo Rovers (3-2) & Derry City (2-1) earlier in the year.

SHAMROCK ROVERS FC

The Hoops welcome the Blues to Tallaght on Friday as they look to extend their recent unbeaten run of four games.

Stephen Bradley’s side had a slow start to the season, picking up just one point from their opening three games, before acquiring ten from the following four, ahead of their meeting with Waterford.

Shamrock Rovers sit in fifth position in the league table going into Friday’s game, just two points ahead of Waterford.

Friday’s game will come too soon for Andy Boyle & Matty Smith, who are continuing their recovery from injury. Conan Noonan is ineligible to face his parent club whilst on loan at the Blues from Friday’s hosts.
