Treaty United FC vs Waterford FC
All-Island Cup Group D
Saturday 26th April 2025
Markets Field, Limerick City
WATERFORD FC
After last week’s postponement of our home game against Bohemian FC at the RSC due to heavy rainfall, the Blues will look to avenge our opening-day defeat of the season against Treaty United FC with a result against the Shannonsiders tomorrow afternoon at the Markets Field in Limerick.
The Blues will tick off another first for the club in what will be our first-ever appearance in the All-Island Cup that involves all 12 Women’s Premier Division sides plus four Northern Irish sides into the competition, with Glentoran Women set to visit the RSC in the coming weeks as part of the group that also sees the Blues host Athlone Town in early summer.
With competitve experience in the Blues’ legs after the start of the season, Gary Hunt will hope to start our All-Island Cup campaign with a result tomorrow afternoon.

GARY HUNT’S THOUGHTS
“It’s been a really stop start couple of weeks with the break and with last weekends postponement, it will be nice to get back on the pitch this weekend.
Treaty have had a really positive start and have recruited some really good players both from their academy and beyond. Having played one another already it will be interesting to see how we compete with how they like to play. Their build up play in their own half has been really good and their direct running style in the opposition half has seen them get joy against teams.
It’s another opportunity for us to improve both with and without the ball and even though we are down some players we still are keen to showcase what we can do each week against the different styles within the league.
This competition is something a little different to the league and we are delighted to take part in it and it would be brilliant to take something from this game so our other two group games (both at home) would become very interesting in our quest to qualify from the group, albeit a tough one against some very good teams.”
