Waterford FC’s number one Stephen McMullan has been called-up to the Northern Irish Men’s National Team for their International Friendly against Iceland this-coming Tuesday.

After impressive performances in the Blues net in recent weeks, McMullan has been rewarded with a call-up for his country’s upcoming fixture on Tuesday evening at Windsor Park.
Northern Ireland fell to a narrow 2-1 defeat in Denmark on Saturday evening, as McMullan joins up with the squad ahead of their final game of this international window.
This is Stephen’s second call-up to the Northern Irish Men’s Senior Team, having been called up in late-2023 where he was an unused substitute for their UEFA 2024 Qualifiers against Denmark & Finland.
McMullan has already amassed 9 underage international caps for his country, from U18 level through to U21, as he looks to add a senior cap to his name for the first time.
Kick-off in Windsor Park is at 7:45pm, with the game against Iceland fully sold-out out three days ahead of kick-off.
Best of luck, Stevie!
