Going into Friday’s game, the Blues sit in eighth position in the league table with 27 points to their name to date.

CORK CITY FC

City come into Friday’s game on the back of a 3-1 defeat away to Shelbourne FC last Friday night, ebfore hosting Celtic FC in a mid-season friendly in Paírc Uí Choimh on Tuesday night as Brendan Rogers’ side emerged victorious on a 2-1 scorelines.
Gerard Nash’s side are winless in 12 league games going into Friday’s Munster Derby, as they lie at the foot of the Premier Division table with just two wins to their name all season.

TEAM NEWS
No fresh injury concerns from last week’s clash in Derry City, with no players missing out through suspension.
JOHN COLEMAN’S THOUGHTS
“Cork will pose their own threats tomorrow night. It’s a derby tomorrow so we have to be at our very best. Everyone is looking for a reaction, none more so than me. The players are looking for that reaction themselves. So hopefully we get it tomorrow.
It’s a special game for the fans, and I think that translates to the players. I know it does for me, I’m excited for the game & it’s atmosphere. I can’t have anything but praise for our fans since I’ve come in here, they’ve been brilliant. And I hope we can give them something to cheer about tomorrow.”
