WATERFORD FC

The Blues are back on the road down to Turners Cross this Friday as they take on Ger Nash’s side in our latest SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division encounter.

After suffering defeat last week against Sligo Rovers, the Blues will be looking to bounce back to winning ways against our Munster rivals away from home.

Waterford sit in seventh position in the Premier Division table going into tomorrow evening’s game in Turners Cross with 34 points picked up in 2025 to-date.

CORK CITY FC

The Rebel Army host the Blues for the second time in three weeks this Friday, looking to maintain their recent run of form at home that has seen City pick up three consecutive home wins for the first time this season.

Ger Nash’s side fell to a 3-0 defeat away to Bohemian FC in Dalymount Park last Friday night, as City remain bottom of the Premier Division table with 19 points to their name from 28 games played so far in 2025 going into Friday evening’s encounter.

TEAM NEWS

Kacper Radkowski made his return from injury last Friday night, coming on as a second-half substitute to make his first appearance since May 16th.

John Coleman has no fresh injury concerns from last week’s clash against Sligo going into tomorrow’s game in Turners Cross.

JOHN COLEMAN’S THOUGHTS

“Football is a game where every game you don’t win the pressure mounts on you. We’ve got to stand up and be counted, and not hide from it.

We’ve been guilty at giving up chances infront of goal – like what we did against Cork in the cup [two weeks ago] – and we’ve also given up horrendous goals at the back like the last four goals that we’ve conceded which have all been preventable, so we’ve got to get back on the front foot & stamp our attacking identity of the games.”
