It’s Mark Farren Cup Final week for the Blues MU17s as they take on St. Patrick’s Athletic FC in the showpiece final this Saturday at the Carlisle Grounds in Bray (3:30pm).
For the first time in eight years, the Blues have earned their spot in the final of the Mark Farren Cup – a competition Waterford famously won in 2017 after defeating Sligo Rovers FC 4-2 at the RSC.
The Blues kicked off their Cup Campaign with a 4-1 away win to Treaty United at the start of June – with goals from Conor Dempsey, Peter Byrne & a double from Orion Cala setting the Blues on our way.
A 1-0 win in the quarter-finals away to Cobh Ramblers at St. Colman’s Park was followed up with an impressive 3-2 home win over UCD AFC in the semi-finals gave the Blues their place in this years final.
Now set to face St. Patrick’s Athletic FC in Saturday’s final, Waterford will look to create further history this weekend on the east coast venue.
