Waterford FC are delighted to announce that academy midfielder Muhammad Oladiti has signed his first professional deal on a multi-year agreement with the Blues.

A product of the Southend United FC academy in Waterford city, Muhammad joined the Shamrock Rovers FC academy after representing the Waterford Schoolboy League at the 2021 Kennedy Cup in UL.
Whilst at Shamrock Rovers, the Waterford native became a regular Republic of Ireland International at underage level – recognised with international call-ups at U15, U16 & U17 level, before most recently being called-up for the Republic of Ireland U19 side earlier this month.
The centre-midfielder spent three years at Shamrock Rovers before joining his hometown club in July of this year, where he played an important part in our MU20 side for the second-half of the season.
Oladiti’s impressive start to life with the Blues warranted a call-up to train with the Blues first-team for the final weeks of the 2025 season, as he now signs his first professional deal with the club ahead of the 2026 League of Ireland season.
A versatile centre-midfielder, who can also play as a full-back, becomes our latest Academy Graduate from the Waterford FC Academy, who joins fellow Graduates Sean Keane, Ronan Mansfield, Adam Coyne & Jesse Dempsey in Jon Daly’s first-team squad for 2025.

Speaking after signing his multi-year deal with the Blues, Muhammad was delighted to earn his contract with the Blues first-team for 2026, saying:
“I’ve enjoyed every minute since joining the club last Summer, and I’m excited to get the chance to work with Jon Daly with the First-Team now. Looking forward to what’s ahead, and playing in-front of the Waterford FC fans at the RSC.”
